Khadi Natural Healthcare

Located in the industrial township of Manesar, the plant for Khadi Natural Healthcare was designed taking into consideration, the need to maximize spatial efficiency.

Each floor of the structure facilitates a different function to keep up with the company’s rapid production capabilities. The ground floor offers two entry points into the building, with two loading bays. These bays lead up to the goods lift, used for transporting raw materials and dispatching finished products. The remaining area on the ground floor caters to the office and storage requirements.

The different functions housed on each floor led to different floor to ceiling heights at each level. This in turn informed a façade design that was staggered not just in the horizontal plane, but also in the vertical plane. Hence, the façade stands out amidst the surrounding urbanscape, with large, staggered vertical masses finished in stone veneer. Variable window sizes stand staggered on the east façade of the building, encased in a rectangular enclosure.

A similar typology of staggered vertical elements runs along the boundary wall, harmonizing the various elements of the elevation.
