This pharma plant for baby products was brought to us with a particular demand: the façade. The design was initiated in keeping with the existing structural constraints. The idea of splayed and staggered surfaces was experimented with, which evolved into a unique design; one that communicates with its context.

The splayed surfaces were finished in pastel blue, to complement the intended purpose for the structure. With the plinth and topmost floor of the building finished in metal profile sheets, the splayed surfaces appear ‘fitted in’ between these two bands. Curtain walls were introduced to the west elevation to light up the office areas.

A sophisticated system of metal louvers runs vertically to conceal the drain pipes. An expression of shadows is predominant in this design, giving the bulky structure a sense of playfulness.
