Statkraft

Statkraft is among the largest generators of renewable energy in Europe. The inspiration for their India headquarters in Saket came from their Norwegian roots. Various elements of Nordic design, such as simple and clean geometries, use of natural light, timber accents, and indoor plants were considered to bring together an understated and nature-inclusive aesthetic. The use of neutral colors, with motifs resembling the Norwegian landscape facilitated this vision. Monotony was broken by adding hues of blue, green, and brown.

Simple environmentally conscious measures such as the use of non-PVC-backed carpets, recycled PET polyester acoustic baffles, and minimizing the use of plastic facilitated a more responsible design.

The layout consists of meeting rooms and cabins on the periphery and open-plan workstations in the central portion of the floor plate. The acoustics for these large work areas were controlled by introducing acoustic baffles in shades of blue, alluding to the seas. Over a dozen meeting rooms were scattered around the office, each with bespoke design elements to meet the diverse requirements.  The addition of several, multifunctional workspaces provided opportunities for break-out. The cafeteria is designed as a space to unwind and relax, replicating the feel of a Nordic café.

Through the replication of subtle nature-based elements, the various parts within this office come together seamlessly into a cohesive whole.
